Russians attack Georgian police checkpoint

Russian occupants opened fire to the 273-th checkpoint in the village of Otobaia late last night. The fire was opened at 2 a.m. and lasted 15 minutes. They shot from various types of rifle, including machine guns and mortars. Reportedly, four Georgian families were subjected to heavy fire from the occupied territory; however, Georgian police opened responding fire only after having evacuated the peaceful residents from the incident area. Russians were stationed 150 meters away from the Georgian police checkpoint. The attack was well planed, because several shells fell in the center of the checkpoint. Before the attack, the occupants were brought to the positions by armored vehicles. Two Georgian police officers were slightly injured. Locals were hiding in the forests whole night.
