Russian pilots treated in prison hospital

Russian pilots arrested by Georgian defense during Georgia bombing, are held in the prison hospital where they het appropriate treatment. Colonel Igor Zinov and Major Vyacheslav Malkov were the pilots of those SU24 and TU22 bomber aircrafts, which was shot down by Georgian defense during the bombing of Gori. The catapulted pilots were arrested by governmental forces.

The pilots are asserting they did not bomb peaceful villages, but the fact is different, their planes were dropped in the villages near the city of Gori.

Russian tanks drive over Georgian police vehicles

Yet another impudence of Russian soldiers was reported from Kaspi. Four armored vehicles appeared in the village Igoeti today intending to move towards the village of Lamiskana. Georgian police resisted to the aggressors and made a barrier with their vehicles, however, the soldiers received an order from their general to drive over the police vehicles and so they did. The police managed to get out of the cars and luckily, no one was injured. Afterwards five other tanks drove towards the same village in couple of minutes after the incident.

Georgia sees little sign of Russian withdrawal

GORI, Georgia – Russia said its troops and tanks began to withdraw from the conflict zone with Georgia on Monday, but left unclear exactly where they would operate. And in the key Georgian city of Gori, there were no signs of a Russian pullback.

The statement by Russian Col.-Gen. Anatoly Nogovitsyn came amid uncertainty about whether Russia was fulfilling its side of the cease-fire intended to end the short but intense fighting that reignited Cold War tensions. Read more…

17:30 Russian military plane entered Georgian airspace from North near Stefantsminda (Kasbegi). It flew towards Jinvali dam, overflew it and returned.

17:30 Georgian police check point attacked by Russian Military near Igoeti. Tanks run over Police Cars.

Russian armored vehicles began movement from Igoeti towards Akhalgori. On the checkpoint of Georgian police they crashed police cars and continued their movement towards Akhalgori. Read more…

Russian occupational army maintaining its positions

The Russian army is still stationed in Gori town, and there is no sign that they are going to leave the territory today. Davit Tabuzadze, Head officer of Georgia’s Shida Kartli Police reported.
“The situation in Gori is the same.

The Russian military units are still stationed here. Georgian police have no opportunity to enter the city. Russian side has declared that the withdrawal of the troops to be launched today, but there is no sign that they are going to leave the territory today,” Tabuzadze stated.

The Russian and Abkhazian armored units are also stationed in Kodori Gorge. According to the released information, Cossacks are there as well. The houses of the locals have been robbed. As locals report, the invaders have set fire to things they could not take with them.
